- The client acknowledges that the income tax return will be prepared and submitted based solely on the documents and information provided by the client through the initial form submitted.
- Sole proprietors need to contact Cornerstone for a customised quote. A sole proprietor means a person operating a business in their personal capacity that is not registered with CIPC.
- All quoted prices are exclusive of VAT
- All prices and discounts apply only to our services relating to the 2024 annual income tax returns (The tax year ending on 28 February 2024)
- Cornerstone will need to transfer your SARS income tax profile onto our SARS tax practitioner profile so that SARS recognises that Cornerstone may speak with them on your behalf.
- An annual taxpayer is a person who only submits an income tax return once for every tax year, after the tax year has ended.
A provisional taxpayer is a person who needs to submit three income tax returns for every tax year. Being once in the middle of the tax year, once at the end of the tax year and a final one after the tax year has ended. - Investment tax certificates are IT3(b) and IT3(c) certificates and may be obtained from your broker or investment provider.
- Donations tax certificates are section 18A tax certificates and may be obtained from registered Public Benefit Organisations that you donated to.
- Medical aid tax certificates may be obtained from your broker or medical aid provider.
- Work-from-home expenses may only be claimed if you have a dedicated room for a home office, a picture of that room showing it is only used as a home office, a floorplan of your house and a letter from your employer confirming that you worked from your home for at least 6 months of the tax year.
- Out-of-pocket medical expenses may only be considered if they were not recovered from your medical aid and they relate to hospitalisation or services and prescriptions from a registered medical practitioner. Over-the-counter medication without a prescription is not considered.
