Why use Cornerstone to wind up a deceased estate?

We follow a rigorous process to ensure that you and your family get the legacy you deserve. We first meet with close family members to obtain all relevant information and discuss the process involved in administering and finalising a deceased estate.

We’ll make sure that your estate is handled as quickly as possible, from communicating with your debtors to going through the different court processes, including preparing and completing all reporting paperwork that needs to be filed with the Master of the High Court.

We also work closely with SARS, we code the estate with SARS and oversee the completion and submission of any required returns, ensuring that all taxes are finalised.

We assist with deceased estates. A deceased estate refers to money or property that an individual leaves behind when they die. An estate must be administered and distributed in terms of the deceased’s Will or the Intestate Succession Act. An executor of the estate is nominated in the Will and then appointed by the Master of the High Court to do this. The process of estate administration is often a lengthy and complex one since all debtors, creditors and beneficiaries must first be established and then reflected in the estate accounts, before being approved by the Master of the High Court.
